Blocks, blocks, more blocks!

It's been a while since my last blog post but I am happy to report that for the past two weeks I have been furiously preparing to vend at a local farmer's market in my area. I am both excited and scared. I've participated in three so far but have only had one where people actually showed up! Happily, that craft show was a success and I am ready to jump into some more!

A big part of my preparation has been painting on ATC sized wood blocks. They are a very small 2.5 x 3.5 inches and they make my heart happy. It's funny how when I create something I imagine just how it will be used.  I envision them occupying a corner on a bookshelf, in an office or your mediation space...really any space that needs a little inspiration :)

While working on these mini labors of Love, I've been mediating a lot on what some of my blocks are. It was brought to my attention that maybe there are no blocks. The moreI thought about this the more it made sense. There are no blocks. I wanted to create art, I do. I wanted to sell my art, I do. I am exactly where I am supposed to be, doing what I love, and the more I focus on the joy of that, the more of that I'll draw into my life. I love how it all comes together when I am open :)

In addition to these lovelies, I'll be offering larger pieces of original art, art prints, art dolls, hand-painted journals (more of those in another post) and other mixed-media goodies. I'll be vending at the  Stony Point Community Farmer's Market every Saturday 8/30-9/27 from 9 am to 2 pm. Stop by and say hello!
